We are all the same.

Reader, don’t you quarrel with your wife?
Don’t you fear about your family’s welfare?
Don’t you get your spirits elevated
Once in a while in your life?
Aren’t you green when it comes to others
Whom you think are “above” you
(reasons best known to yourself) ?
Don’t you feel despair?
Don’t you feel frustrated?
Don’t you feel disappointed?
Don’t you feel helpless?
Don’t you feel the need for deception
(some of you) ?

We are all the same;
If so, to make a difference,
Why do you play the pretender’s game
In black and white
And in gray
Just to feel different?

True colors–
Everyone is the same;
Don’t we all see red
If we slash our veins?
But you try to balance it in vain
On the scale of your skin,
Just to feel different.

The difference
Doesn’t make you any different at all
For me or your “friends”;
In time
